Ogre's Den Books

Hello!
I am Geoff, the "Ogre" of the Ogre's Den Books. I am an avid reader, collector, and cookbook author, as well as a Locksmith in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I have a personal library of over 1,200 books (and counting) I am always on the lookout to fill in, complete, and add to my collection.

PLEASE BE AWARE — This is NOT a retail store, nor is this a business. This is simply the easiest and most controlled way to share what books/novels/RPG materials I have up for private sale and/or trade. All books are tagged with archival type ID stickers that can be removed with no damage or residue.

I have bought entire collections to get one or two books, and this is why I have so many extras and duplicates. I am always swapping out for ones that are in better condition, or more complete.

I don't have a storefront and checkout, but basically, you can add your items to a cart, and it will email me what you are seeking. If you want more details, or more photos, feel free to ask. All prices are in Canadian Dollars, and I can accept payments via Square (Canadians can use Interac e-Transfers). No venmo, no cashapp, no alipay, no cheques.
Local pickup is also an option if you are local to Edmonton, Alberta.

I am more than willing to ship anywhere in Canada, with Canada Post Flat Rate boxes (if able) and Internationally (Please note that "Internationally" does NOT include the USA) if requested. You, as the buyer, will just pay the costs of shipping: postage, fees, taxes, duties, or whatever that get charged to me for the shipping. No markups, no extra mishandling fees.
The exception is the U.S.A. I will ship to the US, but there WILL be an extra $50 Canadian on every order, over and above the required shipping/taxes/duties/fees/tariffs, just because of the absolute pain-in-the-ass BS required to ship stuff down there.

Shipping will be done once a week. (i.e. if you order on a Monday, the item will be packed and shipped out the following Saturday. I work full time and have a family, so patience is appreciated)

FAQ:

#1: Why dont you just sell use e-bay or facebook marketplace?

eBay can be great, but listing this amount of stuff is an insane pain in the ass, and the fees ebay charges are nuts. I am trying to reduce costs, and get the best price to the buyer. I have based my pricing on ebay sold listings (not including shipping) and tried for a low average of those. As for Facebook Marketplace: Do you really need to ask? There is only so much of "Is this availible" then being ghosted worth dealing with...

#2: What guarantee or warranty do you offer? I want a refund!

I'm not a retail store. You want refunds, pay 60% more at a retail store. Caveat emptor, 'let the buyer beware'. All items are sold AS-IS. I will make every effort to inform you of the condition in advance, and advise of any missing or damaged parts in the listing. I will be upfront and honest in all my dealings, and will answer any questions about the condition of the books, and will provide more photos/videos on request in advance. I have a 5 star rating on FB marketplace and 100% on eBay. I am a Licenced Locksmith, and therefore ripping people off just isn't in my nature, also it just creates way more hassle than its worth.

#3: Can I buy just book "X" of that set, or can I get just the map out of that box?

NO. I will NOT split up a set of books, nor will I plunder an RPG box set for just a map or insert. If you are looking for one book or one part, buy it all, and have fun selling/trading off the rest.

#4: Do you buy books/RPGs/Collections?

YES. I am actively seeking books/novels to complete my Library, as well as RPG materials. Take a Look at the WANTED: Books page below. Trading is nice, but I will happily buy them. I am primarily seeking to complete my Dragonlance bookshelf
